Adopt A Highway Picnic

10/21/2006 - 8:00am
10/21/2006 - 12:00pm

Please join Nancy Corriveau and Dianna Boggs for a picnic after we have cleaned up the road at Fort Island Trail!! It will be a fun event as usual!!

We meet at the county park boat ramp pavilion on Fort Island Trail, Crystal River. It's about 3 miles west of US 19 on the North side of 44W (Fort Island Trail). There are restroom facilities at the park!!

The county provides rubbish bags, "fashionable" orange hi-visibility vests and gloves. Ladies, bring your own gardening goves as the ones provided are a little large. Suggest footwear and pants suitable for walking in wet grass. Sometimes we bring dry socks/sandals for afterward. Please bring a spear to stab/retrieve paper trash.

The club provides hotdogs and hamburgers, condiments and paper products. Please bring a covered dish (IF YOU WISH) and beverage of your choice. Who is it that ALWAYS brings her famous fudge?? (A trivia question for ya if you've never joined this event before!!)

Pick-up takes about an hour, depending on how many helpers we have and we work in groups of 2 or 3 half-mile segments.

Please contact Nancy Corriveau at 212-0013 if you can join us since she'd like to be able to shop accordingly, but there is always room for more! Bring your house guests too!

Hope to see you for this fun picnic!!

Nancy and Dianna
